Head of the Department
Department of Bengali started with the establishment of the college in the year 1950. The department started its journey with Higher Secondary and Degree Pass course subject from its starting. Later on in the year 1964 the department started its honours course. The Departmental forum was established in the year 1999. From starting to till date, the department is running with 4 faculty members.

The Department of Bengali publishes one peer reviewed Annual Research Journal viz "Annwesha" (ISSN 2349-9699) . Besides this, the Department of Bengali publish one wall magazine also. The name of that wall magazine is "Deyala". A number of rank holders in the Hons. course is produced by the department, amongst them Mr. Thirthankar Chakraborty, stood first class first in the year 2014
