Department of English started its journey with the establishment of the College in the year 1950. The department started its Higher Secondary and Degree Pass courses subject from the starting. The honors courses is also offered by the department. From starting to till date, the department is running with 5 faculty members.

The Department of English has a well equipped Departmental Library to provide extra facility to its students. A wall magazine "Literary Odyssey" is published by the department.
